Registration Procedures (Based on 2018 tour. Subject to change for future tours)
There are no prerequisites or background necessary for the educational tour. No travel experience is required. Individuals wishing to register in this program are required to:
- Complete and sign a Confidential Registration Form (pdf)
- Read the Statement of Risks (pdf)
- Submit a deposit cheque for $1000 made payable to Langara College - for payment by Credit Card, please call the Program Coordinator Janinah Jansen on 604.323.5976
- Submit a photocopy of your passport (can be submitted at a later stage)
- Early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment, as space is limited.
- Once your application has been submitted your cheque will be cashed and will become non-refundable in the event that you decide to withdraw or cancel your intent to participate in this program for any reason.

Costs and Fee Schedule
- Program cost CAD $7975 per person based on double/ twin occupancy. The tour price is subject to change beyond our control, such as government fees, currency fluctuation, flight schedules, etc.
- During the land-based portion of the tour only; single rooms may be available upon request for a supplement. Contact us for details.
- Payment schedule:
Deposit: $1000 at the time of booking
2nd payment (50% of outstanding balance) by November 30th, 2017. Final payment due January 31st, 2018. All Payments are non-refundable. - Prices are based on double occupancy.
- Registration deadline is January 31st, 2018.
Costs Include:
- Program registration and tuition fees
- Local group transportation (bus, plane, speed boat, ferry, yacht)
- Return domestic airfare Quito to Galapagos Islands including transfers
- Return domestic airfare Santa Cruz to Isabela including transfers
- Three nights accommodation in Quito with airport transfers
- Three nights land based tour Galapagos with accommodation, meals, guides, snorkeling, and activities (including Sierra Negra volcano, Tintoreras, Cabo Rosa, Wall of Tears, Giant Tortoise Breeding Centre
- Four nights on a first class yacht cruise with all meals including snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks, Naturalist bilingual guide, snorkeling & equipment (mask, tube and fins) and activities. Accommodation in double/ twin cabins with private bathroom, hot water, and air conditioning
- Galapagos National Park entrance fee
- Transit Control Card
- Pre-trip orientation meeting(s)
- Quito City Tour and Middle of the World City monument, including lunch
- Group welcome and farewell dinners in Quito
- Instruction by Langara College Biologist
Costs Exclude:
- International flights to/from Quito
- Passport fees/ visas where applicable
- Insurances
- Tips, personal expenses and extra beverages
- All personal items and services
- Wetsuit (available for rent on board)

Important Information:
No Visas are required for Canadian citizens but a valid Canadian Passport is necessary and is the responsibility of the participant. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of the group's expected departure from the country of destination. Travel Visa requirements for all other passports are the responsibility of the participants.
Travel, Flight and Health insurances are highly recommended and are the responsibility of the participant to research and secure the appropriate coverage. Check with your health plan, family physican or local travel clinic for advice about traveling overseas.
All participants will be required to sign a release form prior to departure which allows Langara College, Instructors, Staff, Tour Leaders and Contract Services Employees to be free of liability with respect to this Travel Program.
Program itinerary and dates are tentative. Program costs are based on a minimum number of participants and are subject to change without notice. Program costs are based on double occupancy in twin rooms. If you do not have a traveling companion we will be happy to make arrangements for you to pair up with another member of the group. Langara College reserves the right to cancel any program prior to departure without penalty or liability.
